Junior Company dancers are also selected through the audition process. This company is designed to help further develop dance skills needed for progressing to our two most advanced companies. As with the Mini Troupe, these dancers will learn to perform on a competitive level. Dancers whose bodies are too mature for Mini Troupe, and are of equal or higher technical abilities should audition for Junior Company.

 In addition to the basic technical abilities required for Mini Troupe, those planning to audition for the Junior Company should also meet the following requirements:

• Center floor- more advanced time steps; faster tempo; back paddle turns; basic paradiddles and more heel work

 Jazz

• See Mini Troupe requirements

• Progressing level of extension

• Center floor- turning pas de bourrée; double pirouettes; battement; high energy level; more advanced arm work

• Leaps (See Ballet requirements)

 Ballet

• 5 Ballet Positions

• Basic Ballet Barre- (plié; tendu; degagé; rond de jambe; developpé; grand battement)

• Center floor- simple adagio; petite allegro; chainé turns; single pirouette; balancé; saute de chat; grand jeté;
