The Apprentice Company is designed for dancers who have mastered all dance skills from the Junior Company level and have aspirations of dancing in our Senior Company. The Apprentice Company requires more commitment in the dancers’ schedule and may on occasion be asked to perform with the Senior Company. The technical level for this company is considerably higher,  please see additional requirements listed below.

 Tap

• All technique listed for Mini Troupe and Junior Company in addition to the following:

• Grade 5-  Tap Barre

• Center floor- advanced paradiddles; advanced time steps; traveling time steps; pick ups and grab offs; pull backs; double wings; more advanced heel and toe work;

 Jazz

• All technique listed for Mini Troupe and Junior Company in addition to the following:

• Center floor- double/triple pirouettes; higher stamina and energy levels; pencil turns; axils; illusions; higher levels of extension and flexibility; more extensive arm work; lower levels of advanced turns (turns in second: fouettes); more advanced choreography

• Leaps- saute de chat and grand jeté should be mastered on advanced level; straddles; back saute de chat; double stags; single stag leap

 Ballet

• All technique listed for Mini Troupe and Junior Company in addition to the following:

• Ballet Barre- frappe; rond de jambe en l’air; petite battement

• Center floor- advanced adagio; turning balancé; double pirouette; pas de chat; attitude turns and piqué turns
